Christie’s After Dark: A Private Tour of Jonathan Burden’s LIC Studio
Join Fine Objects Society and Christie's for an exclusive auction preview of Crafted and Collected: The Jonathan Burden Sale. In a modern twist on the traditional country house sale model, Christie's is offering the contents of Jonathan Burden's LIC studio in an online-only auction from 24 September–8 October, with all property remaining on-site.
Since the 1980s, Jonathan Burden has been a fixture in New York's furniture and decorative arts scene. In 2016, he moved his gallery and restoration workshop from SoHo to a converted industrial warehouse in Long Island City, where his eclectic collection of antique and contemporary decorative arts now fills the space alongside his restoration workshop.
Join us for a private tour of the sale in situ and the restoration workshop led by Christie's Specialist Allison Cox and Jonathan Burden himself. With nearly everything offered without reserve and starting bids of just $100, this presents a rare opportunity for collectors at every level.
