The Winterthur Founder’s Circle is an active community of Winterthur’s most dedicated supporters. Hosted by the Chase Center, the venue of the 2025 Delaware Antiques Show, the Founder’s Circle Annual Meeting is a daylong symposium featuring talks, conversations, and keynotes at the cutting edge of new research in the decorative arts. Featured presenters include: Brock Jobe, Professor Emeritus of American Decorative Arts Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library; Adam Erby, Executive Director of Historic Preservation and the Martha Washington Chief Curator, George Washington’s Mount Vernon; Kimberly Schrimsher, Managing Director of the Schrimsher Foundation; Josh Lane, Lois F. and Henry S. This happy hour Soiree at the Delaware Antiques Show is an opportunity to mix and mingle, conversing with dealers and specialists about the exceptional material on view. Be prepared to participate in some speculative collection building that may, someday, become a reality.

Walking tour of Old New Castle

Led by Brenton Grom, FOS Board Member and Executive Director of the Webb Deane Stevens Museum in Old Wethersfield, CT, this walking tour along the Delaware River will explore hidden gems and cobblestone-paved streetscapes in the town where the Swedes and Dutch vied for colonial control and William Penn first landed in America. Stops include exclusive glimpses inside private residences; VIP access to the National Historic Landmark George Read II House & Gardens; a private Civil War museum not currently open to the public; and a visit to Rosemont House, the home of collector Keith Adams, celebrated as the most well-preserved colonial townhouse in Delaware.
